6 weeks

Pups are 6 weeks old now and they've changed so much during this last week.  Certainly more mobile and steady on their feet and can run at supersonic speed without falling over but stopping is sometimes a problem haha.

They've managed to get outside several times between the rain showers and are really loving it.  They've had a munch on their first bones and didn't need any encouragement at all !!  By far the best fun they have is trying to terrorise the other dogs which they are a dab hand at bless 'em.  Beanz has gone past the stage of playing with them as they're now bigger than her so she retreats to higher ground when they're out i.e. back of the sofa :o)  Dixie is totally oblivious to what they're doing as all she's interested in is hoovering the floor sniffing for any stray crumb of food that might be left from the pups dinner.  Fancy loves them to bits and her favourite game is laying on the sofa with her feet dangling over the edge and when the pups try to get them she bonks them on the head, just like that old funfair game when the heads pop up and you have to hit them with a rubber hammer - hilarious to watch !!  Cenzo just stands like a statue and only his eyes move because he's scared of them and Dove won't even come indoors if they're all out but is quite happy to play with just a couple of them.

Well heres a few pictures of the little darlings doing what they do best :o)

Frank xx

Just had to put on this beautiful picture of Daddy Frank being used as a comfy warm bed for his best kitty friend.  Such a wonderful testament to the gentle nature of the Spinone.  Thanks to Annie for taking this.

5 Weeks !!

Firstly sorry for the lack of updates for a while but for some reason I haven't had much time to sit down haha.  Anyway as I've said many times before 'better late than never'

Well the pups have now reached the little demon stage and think life is pretty awesome taking full advantage of their now steady legs and good vocal chords!  They love bombing around the kitchen at full pelt and terrorising the big dogs.  All the pictures I put on here below will let you see for yourself :o)

Sadly gone are the days when I can wear flip-flops as little sharp teeth digging in my toes is not the most pleasant experience I've ever had, so the heavy duty trainers are the order of the day now.  We've had lots of visitors over the last week or so and in-between times I've been trying to get all the puppy packs started and get all their bits and pieces together ready for them leaving home :o(

The pups have now been wormed for the first time which surprisingly enough they really liked and yesterday they had their first experience of the big wide world outside the kitchen.  It was such a beautiful day I thought an adventure on the patio was in order.  It usually takes pups a couple of days to be brave enough to venture outside once the door is open but this litter were totally without fear and ran straight out - I was gobsmacked!!  The first outing only lasted about 20 minutes and I felt that was enough for the first time.  Sadly today 'rain stopped play' but fingers crossed we will have a few good days soon again.

Well enough of my waffling - here are some pictures :o)

Help Dad the demons are getting me !!!

Save me!!

Quick update

This is just a quick update to let you know how the pups are progressing.  They're now having 3 solid food meals a day which they LOVE but as they all tend to eat at different speeds we are feeding them 2 at a time to make sure they all get equal amounts.  This in itself is hectic as the ones that are waiting make it quite clear that they don't want to wait for more than 10 seconds to get theirs :o)  The noise is deafening !!!  Anyway they all get some in the end and then its up to Angel to go in with them and give them a good wash down which she doesn't object too.

They are doing little growls and barks and trying to play together - its so lovely to watch them as they are turning into real little dogs.

The little girl is starting to catch up and is now big enough to have her little collar on.  She is such a little character and eats just as much as the big bruiser boys so she will be catching up with the others pretty rapidly I think :o)

Well heres a few more pictures for you to be going on with - won't be much longer before they will be receiving their visitors.
